SpaceTamagotchi

Hi everyone! SpaceTamagotchi is our entry for Kenney Jam 2019!

SpaceTamagotchi was created by my lovely girlfriend Ilsaaah (Discord: Ilse Wensink#6872) and me (Discord: LukeWaffel#0835 | Twitter: LukeWaffel)

Ilsaaah is an artist and really wanted to learn how to code, so we used Kenney Jam 2019 as an opportunity for her to learn how to code. Our idea was to make TWO 'unlikely combinations' : Combine a Tamagotchi game with a space shooter game, AND make the space shooter game use 2D sprites in a 3D world.

You were going to be able to buy a TON of different Tamagotchis of different types to care for. You'd land in a space shooter battle where you'd fight off enemies in order to gain 'Energy' and destroy meteors in order to collect 'Coins'.

Sadly due to the fact that I spent most of the time teaching her how to code we didn't have time to implement many of the features named above. But we'll return to the game and work on it to turn it into the game we imagined!

We REALLY want to thank you for playing our game and entry for Kenny Jam 2019! Ilsaaah learned a lot and I really enjoyed working on this project with her and teaching her how to code.

A TON of love to Ilsaaah for going on this coding adventure, and of course to all of you guys! We're sorry that the project isn't quite complete or as polished as we'd like it to be, but the experience was totally worth it!
